NEW COMMUNITY RELATIONS STAFF IN AV FOR WASTE MANAGEMENT
Palmdale, CA, August 17, 2007 – Waste Management of the Antelope Valley is pleased to announce the recent hiring of new Community Relations Managers – Janette Crawford and Sandra Pursley.
Sandra Pursley is a life long resident of the Antelope Valley. She has a strong customer focus that was developed during her years spent as a customer relations manager with Pulte Homes. Her commitment to achieving 100% customer satisfaction will be a true asset to the company. Sandra, a Political Science and Public Relations graduate of Arizona State University, proudly served the Arizona community while working for the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes and Coyotes charities.
Janette Crawford was raised in Lancaster and has over 20 years of experience in public relations/marketing. She holds a BS from California State University Northridge in Business Administration/Marketing. She has been on the Eastside Union School Board for the past 12 years. Janette enjoys being involved in her community; she is a member of the Lancaster West Rotary club and has been active with the chambers of commerce, the Illegal Dumping Task Force, Building Industry Association, and the Antelope Valley School Boards Association. Janette is also a member of the City of Lancaster’s general plan citizens advisory committee. Helping to make the Antelope Valley a great place to live is her goal.
“Sandra will be working with the LA County areas of the Valley, as well as the Town Councils in the rural areas. Janette will be focusing on the Cities of Palmdale and Lancaster,” said Susan Moulton, Public Sector Services Director.
Lisa Hemenway continues with Waste Management as the Recycling Compliance Manager, and has been very active with community outreach programs on Waste Management’s behalf for the past 14 years. She is currently involved with the Illegal Dumping Task Force, Mojave Environmental Education Consortium and Total Trash Out.
“Lisa has been doing a great job and the new team, including Sandra and Janette, means Waste Management can provide even more outstanding service to the residents and businesses of the Antelope Valley,” said Bill Minnis, District Operations Manager. “Both Sandra and Janette were born and raised here in Lancaster. They know the needs of the residents and businesses within the communities. They are a great addition to our Waste Management team.”
You can meet Janette and Sandra at various community events or we invite you to meet them at the Joint Chamber of Commerce Mixer on Thursday, September 27th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Waste Management facility located at 1200 West City Ranch Road in Palmdale.
