Waste/Recycling Service Delayed by One Day for Remainder of Week Following Independence Day
ANTELOPE VALLEY, Calif., June 26, 2006 – Waste Management of Antelope Valley’s trash and recycling pick-up schedule will be delayed by one day in the days after the 4th of July, in observance of Independence Day. Those who receive service on Monday will not experience any delays.
Waste Management customers should place their containers out for pick-up one day later than usual, beginning July 5 through July 8:
“Customers who usually receive service on Tuesday will instead receive it Wednesday, and so on throughout the remainder of the week, with Friday’s customers receiving service on Saturday. Those with Monday service will be unaffected by the holiday,” said Bill Minnis, District Manager. “We appreciate our customers’ cooperation with the holiday schedule so that all of our employees can observe Independence Day.”
All Waste Management of Antelope Valley operations will be closed on July 4 – the hauling operations, customer service center and both landfills will re-open for normal operations on Wednesday, July 5.
Customer service is available at (661) 947-7197, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
